If you’re facing challenges and would like some help working through them, or maybe things are going great and you just want to move up to the next level, we can provide assistance.
The Regional Business Partners (RBP) have funding available for businesses to assist with training workshops, courses and coaching to build management capabilities within your business.
At Monteck Carter we are currently registered to provide the following services, for which you may be eligible for up to 50% funding from RBP.
- Cashflow Strategies and Improvement
- Business Planning and Future Proofing your Business
While there are no criteria to sign up to the RBP, there is eligibility criteria for the funding you will need to meet. This includes:
- You’ve undergone an assessment with a RBP growth advisor
- You have fewer than 50 full time equivalent employees, and
- You are GST registered in New Zealand, and
- You have a NZBN, and
- You are operating in a commercial environment, and
- Be a privately owned business or are a Maori Trust or incorporation under the Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993 or similar organisation managing Maori assets under multiple ownership.
Non-eligible organisations include charitable trusts and incorporated societies, and more. Please contact us to talk through this process so we can ensure you meet eligibility criteria first.

Cashflow Strategies and Improvement: a one-on-one service (most suited to a business that identifies that they need assistance in the area of cashflow management and control) that enables business owners to understand the financial foundation of their business and how to ensure that they maintain good cashflow management habits.
On the back of the sessions, we will prepare a 3-way Cashflow Forecast based on the conversations had with you and the plans to improve cashflow.
The business owner will be able to:
- Distinguish between profit and cash results.
- Ascertain the prime areas in the business that affect cash inflows and outflows so that these can be better managed.
- Be able to read a cashflow forecast and understand how it works.
Time Commitment for the Business Owner:
Pre-work/homework hours - 4 hours
One on one sessions with advisor - 2 x half days

Business Planning and Future Proofing your Business:
Most suited for any business owner that wants to improve their business in any way.
The training objectives are:
- Increased awareness of how business planning can achieve better results.
- Ability to see how a business plan flows through to the forecast.
- To give the business owner the ability to set tasks around goals and manage actual performance with expectations.
There will be an initial half day session, and then regular 90 minute meetings over the next six months.
The benefits and outcomes include,
- Learning how the business plan flows through into the annual forecast and how meeting the set tasks and goals can ensure better results are achieved in all areas of the business
- Over the six-monthly sessions you will increase your ability to breakdown goals into manageable tasks that will in the long run result in the goals being achieved.
Total cost $6,000 + GST.
