Review your App Stack - are your apps still working for you?

Recently we shared updates Xero was making and how it was time to switch over to the new reports format if you haven’t already. This is also a good time to review the other tools or apps you might be using to see if they are still working for your business as you need them to.
When you’re looking for apps for your business, the trick is to be informed but selective about the apps you use. Start with the operational and financial needs of the business and look for apps that can automate, improve efficiency, or provide improved data and management information. Talk to other business owners and your professional network to find out what the essential apps are in your industry. And do your research and homework before you choose any software solution to add to your app stack.
It can be daunting keeping up to date with all the new developments in technology. A good place to start is at the Xero App Store and look through the various apps that can easily integrate with Xero. You’ll see the Xero Staff picks as well as being able to filter by industry or by function to shorten the list that would work for you.
If you’re looking for something new to improve business functions, consider a modern expense management app. You can use virtual debit cards to pay for expenses, align each card number to a specific budget or cost centre, and set card limits, so staff can't overspend.
Customer Support can be increased by using Chatbots to answer FAQ’s and customer queries. This is often much quicker than a human response and customers appreciate the prompt information.
