Where does Kilimanjaro fit in?

Our staff are a very varied lot, you will have seen from their profiles that they all have busy lives outside their work life. Karen Tobeck one of our partners is going to be very busy in a few weeks as she climbs Mt Kilimanjaro with her family.

Mt Kilimanjaro is the highest free standing mountain in the world at 5,895 metres or 19,841 feet above sea level. For comparison Mt Cook is 3,724 metres or 12,218ft above sea level. The climb will take eight days with summit day being Sunday 29th June.

If anyone is interested Karen has started a blog which will have updates of the climb, you can follow this by going to;

Wishing Karen and her family a safe journey and a wonderful trip from everyone here at Monteck Carter.
